Henry Thaddeus Bodurka passed away peacefully on Valentine's Day with his family at his side. He touched many lives with his wit, kindness, and humility.
Henry was born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada, studied Electrical Engineering at St. Francis Xavier University, and earned his Bachelor's Degree at Dalhousie University.
He married the love of his life, Wanda Ann Korzep, on June 27, 1959 - and they spent fifty-one wonderful years together.
Henry had a dynamic forty-two-year career with Litton Industries, and served as President of Litton Computer Services for twelve years prior to his retirement in 1998.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his adoring family. An avid golfer, Henry could often be seen on the fairways at Diablo Country Club.
Henry is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; devoted children Diane Bodurka Bevers of Houston, Michele Miller of Danville, and William Bodurka of Alamo; sons-in-law Michael Bevers and David Miller; and grandchildren Lindsay and Michael Bevers and Brett, Christopher and Kelly Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, Veronica and Simon Bodurka, and his sister Harrietta Gregorczyk. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are warmly invited to a Vigil Service on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Wilson & Kratzer, Chapel of San Ramon Valley, 825 Hartz Way, Danville. A celebration of Henry's life will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 2039 Mount Diablo Boulevard, Walnut Creek. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
