Ann grew up in Rhode Island and loved to dance. She and her sister would take the train to Boston to go dancing. To this day, she enjoyed listening to big band music.
She moved to California in 1948 and got a job at Litton Data Systems, now known as Northrop Grumman. There, she excelled and moved up through the company until she retired after working there for 32 years.
Ann was a single mom and worked hard to provide a good life for her daughter. She relocated to Havasu in 1990. In her later years, she enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slot machines. She found her greatest joy in her family.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Concetta Prete, brother Anthony Prete and sister Virginia De Santis.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolann (James) Mitchell, sister Mary Giorgini, grandson Dylan Mitchell, two nieces, four nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Thursday, March 29, at 3 p.m.
