Personal Note received from Bill Russell on July 10, 2018.
Thanks for the historical note posted by Marvin Mallon, great to have someone talk about company history. After reading Marvin's historical notes, I just happened to look up a former mentor of mine from the late 1960's and early 1970's, namely Gerry Paul.

I knew Gerry was about 90 years old but also discovered Gerry passed away in Sequim, WA recently on May 9, 2018 from Cardiac arrest. Amongst the engineer's working close to Gerry during the 60's, he's probably remembered for the creation of his digital "Noise Notes." Gerry designed many digital circuits used in the MTDS system. These circuits used Germanium transistors from the mid-1950's. I still have several MTDS circuit cards given to me as going away presents when I left DSD in '74.

I was hired by Litton Data Systems back in '68 to provide technical support for the MTDS system electronics. I saw Gerry one last time when I visited him at his office, Gerry was a Litton corporate senior scientist at the time, and I was employed by Litton Aero Products (from 1978 to 1983).
