Linda Suzanne [Beck] Friedman

OBITUARY

Linda was born January 29, 1957, to Nancy (Lyons) Beck and Ernest L. Beck in Torrance, CA. She was the oldest of four siblings. Linda attended Hamilton Elementary School and graduated from North Torrance High School in 1976. After High School, she attended El Camino College and U.C. Irvine, where she graduated with high honors with a BS degree in Computer Sciences. She went on to work as a software engineer at Litton Data Systems, which eventually became part of Northrop Grumman. She worked there for over 40 years, until her retirement in August 2022.

Linda lived her entire childhood in the family home on 184th Street in Torrance. She enjoyed family camping trips to Lake Mojave, Klamath, and Running Springs. She loved to sew and crochet and was a very talented seamstress. As a youth, Linda was active at Gardena First Presbyterian Church where she played in the handbell choir and participated in youth group activities.

Linda enjoyed traveling and visited 6 continents with her husband, Neil Friedman. She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, and an avid genealogist. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, and two nephews, Nathaniel Kerns and Stephen Beck. She is survived by her husband, Neil Friedman, son, Aaron Friedman and wife Lindsay, sister, Karen (Beck) Kerns, brothers William Beck and James Beck, and numerous nieces and nephews.
